Hummus and veggies are a brilliant protein stuffed snack; roughly 1/3 of a pot of hummus with around 10 sticks of veggies will give you around 7g of protein and it’s a pretty filling snack. This means that you won’t feel the need to raid the fridge till your next meal.
No, this doesn’t include McDonalds chocolate milkshakes… Sorry. However, a glass of chocolate milk is a great protein packed snack to enjoy, especially post workout! Cartons of chocolate milk are available from the supermarket and although best served cold, sticking one in your gym bag for emergencies is definitely a good idea.
